# How long is my passing score valid?

**90 days from your test date.** If you don’t submit your completed application within that window, the score expires and you retake the exam — fee and all. Two practical implications: don’t take the exam months before you intend to apply, and don’t burn weeks inside the window on a rejection you could have avoided (the most common: mailing only the $25 fee, or a name mismatch between bond and application). Start the bond the week you pass.
